The Baumgartner & Partner Online Finance Benchmarking is broken down into a single comprehensive Finance Cockpit and three blocks which each contain several process modules:
Finance Cockpit
In the Finance Cockpit, the finance function as a whole is benchmarked. This also serves the plausibilisation of the benchmarks from individual process modules.
Transaction Management
Here are all the Finance Processes, most of which are marked by a high number of transactions to be handled. In addition to ensuring propriety, the primary optimisation aim here usually lies in increasing efficiency.
Reporting and aid in decision-making
This block contains all finance processes with which Finance offers its "customers" direct added value – particularly in the form of information which aids decision-making – and which are necessary to the internal management of the Finance function
Management
This block contains the processes with which Finance on its own account manages certain partial divisions in the company.
Each process module is offered individually, as a separate benchmarking project.
Currently, the five accounting processes and the controlling process comprise the focus of our benchmarking projects.
